Took me over a month to read this book! O_o
Hard to get through, I kept getting confused with the family tree, and of course the English is a bit difficult! And so much cruelty and tragedy...

I know that some editions of the books have footnotes translating Joseph into "proper" English, that would have been really helpful, I can't say I got everything he was saying, but I still got an idea.
Beautiful book really, I was quite surprised, I did not know much about it, I now realise.

I've been reading some threads on the Book Talk forum, there has been a readalong of the book, and it has helped me understand so parts that I did not quite get :

Bravo Kana pour ce challenge ! J'ai lu "Jane Eyre" en V.O. l'année dernière, c'est vrai que la langue est un peu difficile pour des non-anglophones... J'ai le projet de lire des romans de Jane Austen en anglais, cette année. Mais je ne sais pas si je vais y arriver...
